1. Since a very young age I have always been interested in spending time with older people. I love to help and make people smile. I had the opportunity to studied 2 years of medical school and i was completed my course In- Home Support Services in February 2014 and it was at that point I realized that caring for people, especially the elderly, was my calling. 2. Care-giving for more than 2 years and “still love what I do”. I love providing home caregiver services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. 3. A personal achievement i'm proud of was to be able to take care of my mother-in-love in her time of need. 4. My grandmother passed away when I was seven she takes care of me since I was born.Never had a chance to thank her. Caring for elderly gives me joy that reminds me of her. I have been working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities for roughly 11 years. I am very accomplished for my age, and I am completely confident and comfortable working with any age or disability. I am currently working on my AA and learning ASL. I am semi fluent in French. With caregiving for elderly adults I have experience with memory loss mostly and total care. However with my MA I am able to handle anything that comes my way.

After she passed away I knew it was my calling to keep helping others with similar needs and struggles. Once my youngest child started kindergarten I started caregiving professionally. I am very grateful for the fact that I am an able body and I try not to take that for granted. It not only humbles me to be able to help others, but I have also learned a tremendous amount about life and the skills to get through it by working as a caregiver. I study holistic health and herbalism and am certified in Family Herbalism and well as CPR. I love to garden and read and I adore my 3 teenage children. I have been caring for different type of people since I graduated in 1999. My mom is a caregiver and she use to take me to work sometimes, I wanted to take care of people like her. So ,I did. You have to really have a heart and be a very caring person. A lot of people come in this field because of the money, but it will show up really quickly, who is really heart felt of taking care of people. I have always loved caring for people. I became a caregiver because a family friend needed help. I love helping elderly and handicapped. I had a boyfriend that was deaf so I learned some sign language and I loved it. My mother drove a school bus for Angel View for handicapped children and I loved that. I also worked at Angel View Hospital for awhile that was great. Helping people who need help. I think I would be a good employee now and a better one with more experience.
