Caring, Good listener, Shy When I was helping my mom take care of my grandmother December of last year before you passed! That I got some experience in taking care of my grandmother and attending to her needs.

Hi Everyone ! Let me start by saying why I became a caregiver. I chose to become a caregiver back in high school when I realized being a nurse is what I want to become. I have seen many patients either not receiving the correct care or being mistreated , I said to myself one person can't do it all but I can change someone's care they are receiving. Plus many others I will encounter in the future. I think what makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I treat the person as if they were my parents or family members. I take my time with understanding their needs. I treat my patients with respect & love. I enjoy working with the many different types of patients & their needs. I love getting to know them as well as letting them know I am there to take care of them. I enjoy working with my patients & giving them the care they need. I have left my job or clinicals many days pleased knowing I done my job the way it was supposed to be done & my patients were taken care of.

I care about people and I love this type of work. I have over twenty years experience in medical field; trained as a medical service specialist in the air force, worked as a nursing assistant with the dept. of veterans affairs and worked as a caregiver with precious home care of walnut creek,ca.

I became a caregiver when my mother became ill in 2002 we all helped out, she past away in 2004. Now me and my siblings help each other taking care of our father. I like being a caregiver because it means a lot to others and you get to make relationships. I'm married and have 2 children, one in collage and the other in high school, and I love to help others.
