It is important to me as a caregiver that I support and promote independence. My objective is to provide safety and security while ensuring my client's dignity.

I have many years experience looking after the elderly and disabled in their homes. I specialize in those living with Alzheimer's Disease, early onset dementia, Parkinson Disease, as well as keeping elders company with walks, playing scrabble, or other activities. Families employ me to assist when needing those extra set of hands to help with everyday things to staying with family members that need hands-on care such as bathing, assistance with dressing as well as companionship and running errands. I own a car with a clean drivers license. I have excellent references. I am a committed, loyal person with sound judgment and high ethics. I have worked with several local home care agencies that require background checks, fingerprints, and all other necessary documents to work as a certified caregiver in the state of CA. Hi there, my name is Abby and I have been working in caregiving/healthcare for about 8 years. My mother worked as a CNA her whole life. I would often volunteer in the facilities she worked at, and I started as a CNA myself when I was 16. I have experience in a variety of healthcare settings, from home care to facilities to pharmacies to disability care. I have completed extensive training in Alzheimer's and dementia care, intellectual and developmental disabilities and basic life support and first aid. I have always been passionate about helping people and I love being able to help seniors stay in their homes and maintain their independence. Hello my name is Michelle Dayton. I have worked in home healthcare for close to 25 years. I have been State certified as a CNA in both Michigan and Indiana. I am not currently certified but I am a registered HHA. I get tremendous enjoyment of taking care of others. My healthcare career started as a volunteer for hospice after I lost my grandparents. I've seen what amazing work they did and how at peace my grandparents were when they passed and I chose to pay it forward. I am a little more picky on the people I take care of then other Aides for two reasons: 1. If the client and I seem to clash it's no good for anyone. So I will not waste your time or my own. I will just respectfully decline the offer. 2. The clients I take on will not be just a clients. I love my people like they're my own family and I will do my absolute best to meet every need they have. If I cannot accomplish that I will find someone who can and put you in touch with them, because there's no sense in your family members being unhappy and uncomfortable in their own home. I feel that I am very caring and compassionate with each and every client that I've had. I believe everyone deserves respect, kindness and a voice( your opinion matters to me!) I will never force your family members to do something they don't want to do. I feel they have live through several wars, a great depression and a whole lot of hardship in the past and now is their time to be pampered. If your family member needs anything or you have questions about anything if I can't answer them I will find the answers and if I have the answers I will let you know.

I'm a great caregiver because I'm compassionate about helping the elderly and disabled to have a better quality of life .Knowing that growing older for some can be challenge but having someone to help you get through those diffulcult times by making day to day life easier can make a big difference.It gives me joy to be a part of making someones life better.

I am a retired Human Resource Specialist. I retired in 2005. In 2014, I visited my brother and his wife, both in their 70's and disabled. Little did I know that they were in bad need of a caregiver. Out of love in my heart for them (as i had no caregiving experience), what was to be a two week visit turned out to be a six month visit. I essentially became their caregiver, monitored their medication, took them wherever they needed to go, accompanied them on doctor visits, made all their medically related appointments, spoke with the pharmacist relative to their medications, did all the cooking and cleaning. I found the work most rewarding and enjoyed it thoroughly. After returning home six months later I decided I would go to work as a caregiver. My past work as a disability claims manager and coordination with case managers, medical staff and the employee equipped me with the skills to be an excellent caregiver. I am very much a nurturer, compassionate, empathetic and have a pleasing personality. I love the elderly, children and pets, I am a nonsmoker. As a caregiver I'm very proud of my ability to redirect dementia and Alzheimer's patients, they're the most challenging patients but the most rewarding to me each time I'm able to redirect them. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is bringing joy and purpose to the lives of my patients, I enjoy grooming them and getting them ready for the day, making their bed as they watch, they love that. I do love my caregiving work.

I am outgoing, kind, compassionate and observant. As a teacher of 30 years I learned to anticipate needs and adapt when necessary. I first learned caregiving assisting my grandmother, who provided home nursing care for relatives. I worked as an Emergency Room Technician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital while in college. Later in life I have provided hospice care and home health care for family. I take pride in my work and keeping elders active in their own homes.

I have 3 years experience working with Seniors Helping Seniors from 2001 - 2003 after my husband passed. I took care of an elderly couple every weekend for 3 years. I have worked with several clients in the past 5 years through word of mouth within my senior community. I currently work with a client 2 days a week. Duties include shopping, lunches, running errands and taking her to visit at a nursing home. I am honest, kind, have a gentle touch. I am well organized, very flexible, have dependable transportation. I am neat and clean and am a good cook. I am a good listener very patient and have a gentle touch.

Hi! My name is Dina and I was born in Maine but raised in Connecticut. I am 48 years old, single with no children. I became a senior caretaker/companion after 20 plus years in book publishing sales. I felt burn-out working in corporate and had a strong desire to do work that was more meaningful and personal. I am, by nature, a kind and giving person who has a particular ability to fit into many situations and make people feel comfortable around me. It is deeply satisfying to know I am helping someone to stay in their home and maintain their independence. I feel I receive far more than I give when caring for someone!

Helping seniors was a path I totally embraced after a long career in marketing with positions in advertising and public relations. I was seeking something that was of service to people on a deeper level. I have always admired and respected our elders as they have so much to teach us and I believe we are here to help others. So, I signed up with a company two years ago and began my journey of working with seniors and the disabled. With a background in communications, I am an excellent conversationalist and skilled at picking up on non-verbal clues. I truly enjoy being with seniors and always love listening to their stories. While I am an engaged companion, I am very aware that I am there as a caregiver to that person and do my best to fulfill whatever needs I can fulfill. From the usual tasks of help with tasks of daily living, I am attentive to small kindnesses such as brushing hair and lotion on the back. If you asked any of the companies I have or do work for, they would tell you that I am punctual, extremely reliable, honest and kind. And, if you asked any of the more than 50 people I have helped along the way, they would tell you that I genuinely cared about them, their families and making their lives a little more happy and comfortable. I am very patient and resourceful, having frequently worked with folks who have some degree of memory impairment. Also patience with those who may not have memory issues, but set in their ways and honoring that. I believe that my personal achievement I am most proud of in doing this work is that I always go that extra mile for each individual in each situation. I
