What makes me a good caregiver is i like to sit down and listen to the individual and the family to find out their concerns and fears and how they want things to be. I respect all rights and will not over step my boundary. I'm a good listener and companion. I became a care giver after taking care of my grandma while she battled with cancer. It was a hard and emotional time but after she passed. I learned that we became closer and during that hard time we also had many good times. So in the end results i became a care giver to become a companion and to help others when help is needed.

I am a great caregiver for multiple situations because of my well rounded background. I have great abilities as a healthcare provider and homemaker. Those talents range from cooking nutritional, diet tailored meals, cleaning, campanionship, personal care, monitoring medications, and transportation assistance. I became a caregiver/registered CNA after assisting my father and grandmother during their illnesses which I found very fulfilling. During the past year it has been rewarding serving so many diverse clients. I have enjoyed it immensely. I am proud to share one of satisfying achievements recently. After sugery my client came home to recover. She had multiple needs ranging from nutritional, wound care, housekeeping, pet care, food shopping and more. Not only was she over the moon with everything I was able to do for her, her doctors were very happy with her progress and wound care.

I'm 50 yrs old .I'm a christain.I don't drink.smoke.do drugs.. I'm very patient and easy going.I injoy working with the elderly. I have my own vehicle. I can cook.clean.laundry. take clients to dr.appt. shopping.. ect.

I guess, I decided to be a caregiver, because I was raised by my grandparents & as a child I promised them I'd take care of them when they got older & needed help. Unfortunately they passed before I had the chance to help. I enjoy helping others & like to see people smile & i like to make them feel special & important, because they are.

I have previously worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant, I understand the needs of our Seniors and can provide care and comfort. I like the most about CareGiving is the ability to help and provide companionship for all my patients. My personal achievement is obtaining my degree in Liberal Studies. Myself, I love animals and enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family. Also, I have a cat named Cameo that I love very much.
