I have always been interested in jobs that deal with the care of a persons lifestyle and I never hesitate when it comes to lending a hand to someone who needs it. I am very flexible with schedules and dealing with different clients, and I can easily adapt to new environments and the surroundings. I have experience in both home care and in a skilled nursing facility. My favorite part of my job on top of helping others is getting to know the resident I am caring for. As a caregiver you can spend more time with your client getting to know them better, which makes caring for them more of like a hobby than a job.

I personally took care of my mother and grandmother who both went through severe surgery recovery and needed home care afterwards. Taking care of them felt so natural and I found that helping them gave me such heart filled satisfaction. Being a caregiver is my passion. I love meeting new people and caring for those in my community who need help. Through this experience I have learned so much about people and they have taught me so much. I love helping people through the skills I have acquired and seeing people with a smile on their face warms my heart. Graduating with honors (cum laude) from UNT with a bachelor degree in Biochemistry is my up most achievement that I worked so hard to obtain. I am a hard worker with a caring and compassionate nature. On the weekend I volunteer with Cancer Care Services and my church. I am CNA certified and CPR trained. My hobbies include swimming, knitting, cooking, and baking. I enjoy making connections with clients and growing strong friendships.

I became a caregiver in 2001 because I have the heart and desire for the elderly. I love taking care of someone so needs special care. The reason I love being about a care giver is that I feel God has put this in my heart for this one of work. I love doing for those who can't do for themselves they are very special people and I love having the bond with them. Since my teen years I have wanted to become a nurse because of my love for people and caring. During the summers of 2011 and 2012 I worked as a volunteer Certified Nurse Aide in Zambia at a hospital for children with curable disabilities. This experience confirmed my love for nursing and then in 2012 I began taking pre-nursing courses and I will start Radford`s Nursing program in the fall. Nursing is so much more than just the science and the vital signs. Nursing the whole body approach to caring for sick and hurting people. I have learned so much through the patients I have cared for about life and wisdom and that knowledge is a gift I will never forget.

I am a great caregiver because I have the passion and the knowledge to get the job done. Having worked with many different kind of residents I have learned how to get to know people and make them as comfortable as possible. I am very dependable and wont stop until my job is done. Always punctual and will never let a resident go without. My residents are always my first priority and I will never make them feel otherwise.
