Rescare

I became a caregiver by accident 8 years ago and I love it. I had been a medical assistant for 11 years and found myself driven to work with elder patients. I found that many need a little help to remain at home and I like helping them to do so.I am pursuing a registered nurse's degree and plan to use it helping elders to remain at home.

1. I became a caregiver , because my great grandma had alzheimer's disease and wasn't able to do a lot of things by her self , I loved helping her and taking care of her and bringing a smile to her face everyday , and then I wanted to start doing it for others who need help. 2. What I like about caregiving is, I am able to help others who need it and make there life easier and see them smile and be in less pain and not alone I think that is what I like being a caregiver so much. 3. a personal achievement ive made that Im proud of, Is at my first job as a caregiver I passed the test to give meds and was able to take more classes to be able to help my clients more . 4. Something about myself Is I enjoy making people smile and have a good time im also a very good listener .

The first time I ever thought about being a caregiver was when I was 22 years old.Having the feeling the need to take care of people other than yourself was never hard for me as I grew up in life.When my mother was sick going through dementia I took care of her throughout the whole process.It was as extremely difficult job because it was someone close to my heart,but I had to be her backbone that everything will be just fine which eventually did.She was getting her old self back which was great.So as far as that that's when I decided to make cargiving as my career.

I have been taking care of my grandparents majority of my life. So I am very familiar with how hard times can be while taking care of loved ones. I appreciate the feeling I get while taking care of others who are in need. I am compassionate and I take what I do very serious . Whether it's companionship or not I've always been well at putting smiles on those I care for, smiles on their faces. Many only do so because they have to, I do it because I love to. It's not only fulfilling for the people I take care of or their families, it is fulfilling for me as well.

I have been in this line of work since age of 18. I enjoy helping people. The gratitude that is given from clients, knowing there is truly someone who cares.I care for my son, who is 35 years of age, and is mentally disabled. I love to hear him say... " Mom I did it!'

What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm a very passionate and caring person. The reason why I decided to become a CNA is because I like caring for people. What makes me happy about helping other people Is how you can put a smile on their face and make that person happy as well. I'm a very responsible and reliable person as well.
