I became a caregiver because I wanted to give back I had a brother that was sick and I saw the kind of care that he was receiving and I wanted to make a difference in someone's life I wanted to make them feel that even though they were sick or going to whatever their issues were that they still had some self worth. What I love about being a caregiver is that I love people I love helping people I love seeing them reach their full potential making them smile seeing them happy. Hello, my name is Escalante Reed. Im a PCA and currently going to school to become a CNA, but I have been doing home health care for nine years. I'm certified in First Aid , CPR, Mandt, Level 1 Med Aide, Behavior Supports, and Fundamentals of ID/DD. I enjoyed my job and I enjoy caring for others. I care for others as if they were my family member. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was once my grandmother got sick and i started caring for her. The way i cared for her is the way i care for the ones i work for. I'm very energetic and loving. I keep those around me smiling and laughing. Each time i walk into someone home or when i leave and they have a smile on their face i know i have completed my job for the day.

I have a good personality and willingness and the patience to weather when my client is having a bad day, I enjoy laughing and sharing with my clients and doing the small things that mean so much to my clients.
