I am a healthcare professional with 25+ years experience working in geriatric, memory care, dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I work in hospice care, palliative medicine, end of life care. I am a patient, compassionate, good listener, kind, caring caregiver. I do skilled nursing, wound care, first aid, post surgery care for transitioning patients to homecare. My start in healthcare was volunteering at the Red Cross, church and community outreach , I have worked eight years at the Washtenaw County DHS with CLS/CMH organizations as consumer advocate . I have worked long years managing assisted living facilities, nursing homes, directing memory care units, training, teaching and mentoring. I have earned Bachelor's of Science from EMU and Surgical Technology program from WCC. I am passionate about helping people to better their lives and improve their health.

I am a cheerful, energetic and positive person. I handled the care of both my parents until they passed. My mother who outlived my father, lived with me for 10 years and passed of Alzheimer's and gastric ulcer in our home I handled her last weeks with the assistance of hospice care. I enjoy learning about other people's experiences in life and assisting them in any way I can from my experiences.

I work in Sarasota, Venice, and the North Port area. When I started my career as a caregiver, my life changed. Aging is a difficult process for many people. I feel compassion for the people I take care of. I do everything from my heart because I treat my clients as I would like my parents to be treated. For me this is more than a job, it is my passion to take care of the people who need me. I see myself as a caring, polite, considerate, generous, affectionate, patient, understanding, loving, and forgiving person. I have worked as a CNA for over 16 years in a wide variety of settings including hospital, nursing home, assisted living, hospice and home health. I love working with seniors! My Name is Tanya Silva a wanted to become a caregiver after i took care of my grandmother during my senior year in high school it was a decision not.to put her in a nursing home and myself and my family to care for her up until she passed. This made me realize how much i.enjoyed caring not only for my.grandmother put the passion i had for it so i went further to get my cna license and care for the elderly i have worked in long term short term care, Assisted living, i have done med management, laundry meal prep COMPANIONSHIP i truly enjoyed working with Alzheimer's and dementia patient's that was a wonderful experience learning about the disease and understanding there needs and meeting thw families that watched there loved one's struggle with this horrible disease. I started my career in the health care industry by helping children with disabilities and then from there grew a passion for helping the elderly and have been doing it for about 10 years now. I have worked as a CNA but helping people in their homes is something I really enjoy! I am also a Medical Assistant and worked at Stanford Hospital with children . During my free time, I enjoy talks, playing music, exercising, spending time in nature, reading, and cooking healthy foods.
