I have always enjoyed spending time with elders and listening to their stories and experiences. Families have found me to be patient and reliable. I am happy to help with light household tasks and helping people prep meals.

A personal achievement for me is that I had a client that they told me would not leave his bedroom to go anywhere elder in his house , to everyone surprise that very day I started working with him he got out that room to have his three meals per day , he is no longer room bound which makes me feel very exited that my passion allows me to get him out.

I became a caregiver when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I decided to be the one that gave her strength to keep going. After taking care of my mother for 5 years I had decided to go to Nursing School. Currently I am a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) as well as a Home Health Aide. I have been a CNA for 7 years and a HHA for 5 years. Changing my field of profession was a big achievement for me because I never truly knew what it felt like to make a difference in other people lives everyday with just helping them with their daily activities. I thrive on knowing that I make a difference in people lives. It is a joy to know that I can make some one feel better with just my companionship.

I have been married to my husband for 3 years, we have been foster parents for a little over 1 year, we have a son together and 5 other kids through foster care.
