The most thing that attracted me to be a caregiver Caring for my grandmother. I learned that I'm passionate about helping people and improving the daily lives of those in need of care. Supporting my grandma taught me skills like patience, compassion and problem solving. she's the person that raised me since I lost my grandmother I feel like I want to help others and keep continue making her proud.I'd love to apply my skills to help make the same impact . I have caregiver experience for 3+ years I love working with the elderly

Years ago when I first entered the work force I was lucky enough to get a position as wait staff in a Memory Care facility. It was then that I first discovered my passion of caring for the elderly, specifically those with memory and physical impairments as a result of Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. I have spent most of my working years in this line of healthcare, serving individuals either in their personal home or in a nursing home setting. I have gained so much experience and education in memory care and pride myself on my ability to give my all to each patient. I have enjoyed taking care of others immensely and have found that it's what makes me the happiest. A person's later years can be confusing, scary, emotional and overwhelming but I have learned the tools to make each day meaningful and the very best it can be. I am often amazed at how lucky I feel to be caring for such amazing people, as every one I have ever cared for has had a wonderful life story. I am serving a person and enriching their life, not simply working a job and collecting a paycheck. I am currently attending classes at Cayuga Community College in pursuit of an RN degree and therefore am only available for part-time hours. I look forward to meeting a family who's needs match what I can offer and getting to work serving you and your loved one!

I've became a cna because my mom has been working private duty for decades and I use to see how greatful her clients were to her and I love the feeling of helping my elders it makes my day knowing I can make there life a little easier and I love the bond that I receive from my patients and there family. What makes me a great caregiver is my personality, meaning having the sweetness to serve those who are not capable of doing certain things for themselves. Having the honesty, tolerance, patience, confidence, and ability to handle my responsibilities as assigned. The biggest medication in life is Laughter; therefore, if I can add a smile or laugh to a client's day, that means a lot to me and will contribute to the patient's recovery. Thus, I will use my sense of humor to make my client's life enjoyable. I love providing home caregiving services to those that would not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoy helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. What I like about being a caregiver is the caring personality that I bring to my patients. It is not about doing this job for money, it is the enthusiasm, the love, and the desire that I have to do it, and to see my people have the best life possible. "I remember the moment I used to taking care of my dad. He was in hospice and couldn't do certain things in his own. I used to help him walk, dress up, laugh, and put food in his mouth. It is a very memorable moment. So far, that is the personal achievement that I am so proud.

Working with seniors is the career path that I am extremely passionate about, and I can only hope to get the opportunity to give back to others, and be there for someone else who is in need. my skill set and training with seniors may not be very high, but I would make it my top priority to see that each individual I come into contact with is taken care of, and has received the necessary attention that they seek. I want to be able to work with people in a way that they feel they are important, and that they have someone who cares for them, and who they can depend on. I want to be that person for someone else, I know that I can be. I plan to go back to school to receive full certifications that will further my career.
