Hello My name is Robin Coleman, I been in the healthcare field for 27 years, Started as a CNA/GNA, worked myself LPN, to RN, I graduated in 2014 from Herzing University of Birmingham, I work in LTC for 20 year as a wound care nurse and unit manager then in 2013 I started doing dialysis, I been a dialysis Manager for 6 years and current. I recently started my own home health care business called R.A.N staffing care service which I am very involved and also provide services myself. I have an awesome healthcare team that would love help care for your love one. I am a CPR instructor if additional education is needed in the home. I've been in the medical field for over 14 years as a medical assistant, Dialysis technician and an EMT. I've worked with medically fragile children, the elderly and renal failure patients. I love to help people and am very caring and compassionate. I am flexible and willing to work with you and your loved one.

Caring with Love and compassion will always be my goal in this field. Since I was a little girl I helped take care of my great grandmother. Fast forward to 1990, I knew I wanted to be of help and I made it to CNA school to get Certified! I started w/ Nursing/ Rehab in California and finally moved back to Hawaii to be closer to family. There I started helping out w/ taking care of Family and eventually started working for Agencies. One thing I know w/ having to work both Facilities & Homes, it's both rewarding. I have been a Caregiver/CNA/ Patient Care Technician for 10 years. Ever since I started working in health care, I have always enjoyed it. To me, it is a very rewarding career as I am able to help a lot of people. As a caregiver, I demonstrate empathy to all my clients/patients. I believe it is the core characteristic of an excellent caregiver. I tend to believe it's a lot of inherent and a big mix of environment. I also believe there are degrees of empathy. Some can empathize more than others. If you can totally put yourself in the place of who you are caring for, you will do nothing but provide excellent nursing care. Also, It is difficult enough for a person to lose independence without having the added burden of finding someone reliable to help them. When I provide care, I try to be as dependable as I can be because so many vulnerable seniors' lives depend on my assistance and care to live a safe and happy life. I am patient with my clients. I give my clients/patients ample time to comfortably be assisted with their activities of daily living (ADL's). If the care recipient is angry, and uncooperative, I give them space, and a bit of time. I give him/here time to breathe and calm down. I usually wait 15 or 20 minutes and reproach in a calm and loving manner. If the source of the frustration is a task that can be put off, Iput it off. If it's something that needs to take place as soon as possible, like changing an incontinence brief, I try a different approach that will make them feel better. As a caregiver or CNA, I am flexible. I have spent my career knowing that as soon as I have my day planned out, something is sure to change and I will have to tend to whatever has become the priority. I can adapt quickly, and accept change easily.

I've been in the health field for 25 years now. I've worked as a CNA, Home Health Aide, Medical assistant, phlebotomy, and now dialysis tech.

I became a caregiver when my grandmother needed someone to help her with household chores, errands, cooking, bathing, and help assist with going to the bathroom. After she passed away, I wanted to continue helping other people, and began working at an assisted living center for residents with Dementia and Alzheimer's. I love providing care, but also allowing them to still have their sense of independence. I am very passionate about giving people the quality of life, and I do whatever I can to maintain that. A personal achievement I am proud of is taking a leap and moving across the country by myself. I love to explore life, and find beauty in something everyday.

Hello! My name is Britton Black and I decided to become a caregiver a long time ago due to something I experienced in my very own family. On October 2010 I moved in with my Uncle and my sick Aunt. She had just been diagnosed with ALS at the time I moved in. I felt so beyond blessed to be able to help her and my uncle through the tough time they had ahead. At the same time I was attending LPN school and learned everything that I needed to know to help my uncle take care of my aunt. It was a very eye opening experience. It touched my life and I would never trade that experience I had with my family and especially with my aunt. I knew that after my aunt passed away that care giving was meant for me and I was definitely in the right field. I am currently a LPN waiting to take my boards so I can bridge to my RN. I think care giving is definitely my calling.
