I first began being a caregiver right after I graduated high school. I was unable to start college & needed a job to provide. My first caregiving position was at an assisted living facility. I had an amazing woman who trained me & that I worked with very often. She was an older woman and would always make sure I knew the correct way of taking care of each and every resident. I have always wanted to help others, take care of them, and do whatever I can to make sure they are well!

I get a lot of joy in taking care of the elderly because it reminds me of the times i would take care of my grandparents. The reason I became a caregiver is because I am comfortable around elderly. I am also able to treat them as if they were my own family. What I enjoy most about care giving is being able to help and to give peace of mind to their loved ones. So that they know that they're in good hands.

I have worked for 15 years as a caregiver, housekeeper, dog sitter, house sitter, nanny, working with mentally challenged and disabled and cared for all those in need for all ages. I don't see this as a career or job, its truly an inate passion from the bottom of my heart. I absolutely love caring for people and see myself working in this field for the rest of my life. I am highly qualified. I have the most perfect and completely clean background both driving and criminal record. I am extremely compassionate and patient. This is why I hope to be first considered because I have full availability, extremely reliable vehicle and amazing car insurance. I love to work hard and also be a companion. I love to clean because I find it very therapeutic. I also am very laid back, I love all pets and caring for them. When I began caregiving I quickly figured out that I was literally being paid to be "me". I do for people what I would hope anyone would do for another person. I truly enjoy and learn from the senior community and its a privilege to spend time with them. I often say that I missed my era. I am most proud of my accomplishments as a mother and I feel the lessons I experienced raising my own children was a benefit to the compassion and nurturing nature I carry over into the lives and homes that I am blessed with in this profession. As I was told by my very first ,very mean client as I helped for the first time ever with toileting.......She said sternly "Girl would you treat me like you would want to be treated" Something clicked in me that day and I have been a Caregiver for 7 years since . I started as a caregiver helper helping my grandmother that was a registered nurse doing cases for patients that couldn't afford a company or program to help assist them in there daily lives living in the home they was comfortable living in during there last years. I fell in love with the job given to someone else and knowing I was there for a purpose. I felt good daily knowing I was living and given to life itself. At 16 years old I was working my own cases privately thru my grandmother's help working 8pm to 8am for a 98 year old lady. I was hooked and lived my years working privately until a company reached out to me to hire me and put me thru cna school in Jacksonville Florida years ago. I worked with the company's off and on for years never finding the same joys as fully because as a caregiver thru a company I couldn't help the ways I was use to without approval.
