I have a great personality. I am very dependable, patient, pay attention to detail. Taking care of family members attracted me to wanting to be a caregiver. What i enjoy most about caregiving is i like taking care of others, especially the one's that can't do it on their own or need some assistance. One of my personal achievements that i am proud of is starting college.

Since I was a young girl, whether it be for my loved ones or the underprivileged, I have always had an innate concern for those in need. My inherent compassion for the livelihood challenges of others has developmentally led me to pursue an educational life-long career as a guidance counselor and health-care provider. What I have learned in my experience, when caring for any individual, is that each person's needs are distinct and should not be identified as like any other individual. When an individual is challenged in any capacity, demonstrating you care in getting to know them as a person, their strengths and limitations with personable kindness, compassion, and patience, can make all the difference to the individual and the family members who depend on you as an extension of themselves. Sometimes a simple smile can make a person feel more relaxed and willing to work with you as a caregiver to aid them with their inability of managing their own lives on their own. As a professional counselor and caregiver, what gratifies me the most about helping an individual is being a part of improving their quality of life for their overall well-being; mind, body, and spirit

Patience is my best trait when working with patients and helping them overcome any challenge or question they might encounter and by doing this the patient will feel comfortable by demonstrating active listing and genuinely caring and showing interest in all their needs. I like being a caregiver because i was able to help take care both of my grandparents and working in a hospital setting really showed me how much help the elderly need. As a caregiver i will meet any issues the patient might need, show compassion and listen, help with their needs which makes me happy that i'm there to help. Im proud of one of my achievements and it was helping a patient that was choking with their food. I was able to preform CPR and dislodge the piece of food which saved his life.

I am a social worker by degree and have worked in the social work and medical field for my whole career. When I was in college I worked and put myself through college, one of my jobs was at a nursing home. I also did an internship at a hospital and with the dialysis center. I helped to take care of my mother in law when she was alive, kept her company, reminded her to take medication, eat and encouraged her to incorporate daily activities.

My name is Infant Henson, I have been in the healthcare field for 6 to 7 years now and I must say I have had a run, some good times and some sad times but I wouldn't trade my experience for anything in the world. I first took interest in home health on the strength of wanting to take care of others the way I would want to be taken care of. I started out as a housekeeper for facilities, rehabs and living centers and seeing the lack of compassion, hearing the calls out for "help", not being allowed to help and almost being terminated for helping. Right at that moment I knew what I was meant to be. I started with Home Health Care to Hospitality Aide to a Temp Nurse's Aide. A short time after hearing about my dear granny passing and learning that this 82-year-old, once 100% healthy and capable woman simply wasn't given correct medication which led to a stroke and then after not being taken care of, neglected and abandoned led to her demise and all I could do was think of the sadness. I decided to take all that negative and turn it into a positive. I chose to be 1 in 100 to make a difference and every client or resident I have ever been in contact with or ever touched deeply, my goal was to give them the best of me and greatest experience no matter their condition, time given or behavior. I am proud of the decision I made years ago, the caring heart I have and the joy I get from being needed and making others happy and I want to continue to make a difference.
