Compassion and empathy are my greatest attributes. I have cared for my clients post a massive stroke which included diaper changes, washing, Hoyer Lift, feeding, medication management, advocate for there care, navigating Medicare/Medicaid and SSI/SSD, house cleaning, food shopping, etc. I understand paralysis, stroke, speech impediment, palliative and hospice care, oxygen dependent, chronic aspiration and feeding tube, to name a few examples. I assisted for several years with respite care. My clients have needed assistance with insulin dependent (medication management), had Alzheimer's/Dementia and could no longer speak and was also bed bound. Should you/your loved one require care after an operation, I have experience with this as well. I have worked in the medical field for almost two decades in radiology offices and as a licensed massage therapist providing therapy for Multiple Sclerosis, Sickle Cell Anemia, Edema, Fibromyalgia, chronic headaches, Sciatica to name a few. Life has directed me, as a calling would a religious leader, to caregiving. The role I wish to take during my waking hours is to care for those who have difficulties in being 100% independent. Empathy is in my "job description" and my "resume." The Enneagram and Myers-Briggs personality outcome-I am a caregiver and advocate (INFJ). Caring for another human is what I believe all humans were put here to do; to help each other through this journey in whatever gifts we have to offer. I enjoy others company and have a sense of true purpose by providing someone a sense of freedom in assisting them, encouraging confidence and an overall easier time of the human experience. Aside from helping other humans, I have rescued over two-hundred dogs and counting. Currently I volunteer my time with the Humane Society. I enjoy cooking and watching others enjoy my flavorful dishes.

I am a single mother. I am very caring, compassionate, detail oriented, and reliable. I enjoy helping others and knowing I've made the day just a little easier for someone else. I am proud of myself for the education I have obtained, helping others, and continuing to push forward in life despite obstacles.

I feel I can really relate to a families needs when it comes to our loved ones. My mother was very sick for a long period of time. I was the only one who could help her as I was a stay at home mom. It was a very trying time. I feel I can relate to the fears that come from trusting our loved ones in a care situation. I hold a very high level of patience and empathy. My children are all grown which gives me the opportunity to work full time. I am currently seeking a new career due to the high physical demands of massage therapy on my hands. I also previously held a license as a certified medical assistant. I let my license lapse for massage therapy. I feel I have above average knowledge of the body and can easily help with exercise and mobility as necessary. I think being a massage therapist taught me a lot about empathy and sensing discomfort or pain. I am not judgemental or squeemish. In my time as a medical assistant, I was able to assist in minor surgery. I am comfortable in a home setting, as I provided in home therapeutic massage. I became a caretaker because I have a heart of gold and am very patient. I will care for my patient as if they were my own family and will follow every order I am asked of. My long term goal is to become a nurse practitioner.

I became a caregiver because my great grandmother became very sick so I state red taking care of her. A couple of years later she past away. I went to school to become a CNA I really enjoy taking care of her she became my inspiration.

Hi! My name is Samm (obviously), I am 24 years old and I'm here to tell ya why we're going to be good friends. I am very passionate, empathetic and detail oriented. While I'm very efficient, I am also very easy going and extremely adaptable. You just tell me what you need/want, and we will find a way to safely and promptly make it happen. My parents adopted me when they were 55. So my siblings were all grown up and I was growing up with nieces and nephews that were older than me, and lots that were a lot younger than me (we have a very large family). I was always big sister/ babysitter to all the youngins since I was old enough to be left unsupervised, and with my parents adopting me at such a late age, I have been taking care of them on and off as needed, for as long as I can remember. My dad recently passed away but I was FULLY taking care of him and my mother as he battled stage 4 cancer for the second time in his life. There were times when he was strong and felt good and taking care of him just meant being his daughter and his friend, and times when he was so sick he could hardly move his head and I was kind of his body for him. My mom has Parkinsons and has been diagnosed for about 8 years, she also has times where taking care of her only consists of buying groceries, taking her shopping or on adventures out of the house, etc, and there are times when it is completely taking over her medication, making her special foods because shes shaking so bad that her body has a hard time swallowing, getting her in and out of bed, chairs, the shower, etc. I can be your right hand man and handle pretty much everything for you and be sort of a personal assistant and help with appointments, medications, pretty much anything, or I can just be someone that comes to hang out and be your friend.

I became a caregiver because I love helping others. I love seeing the joy on someone face after you did something good for them or just see how a person show health results due to the service you do for them. I am also a Massage Therapist and I constantly seeing how my services help others and I love to see that. One of my personal achievement that I am proud of becoming a Massage Therapist. This is just one step forward in my overall career goal. I am a mother of two boys and a wife of a veteran. I love being a mom and a wife.

I have heard horror stories of patients being neglected by not being bathed, linen not being changed frequently , etc. That is unacceptable.
