I love caring for clients of all ages. Most of my experience has been working with seniors and clients with disabilities. I've also worked with Alzheimer's and dementia including some on hospice care. I am passionate and patient and love listening to each clients needs and special requests and personally care for them with respect according to their unique needs. If working at home I also love animals too. I am CA Lisensed Vocational nurse (LVN) and can administer, oral medications, and injections, wound care/treatments. I can also drive clients to do errands, or doctor's appointmets. I also love cooking and reading.

I am very kind, patient person, I love to smile , sing and dance. I have always love to care for people, but I really got into it after I took care of my grand ma. I find it very rewarding, to care for anyone who can't help themselves.

Currently, I am a caregiver at an assisted living community. I've been working there for over two years now. I've also had a life-long goal of becoming a registered nurse. All I've ever wanted to do in life was care for other people, old or young. Although being a caregiver helps me fulfill most of that goal, my goal won't be fully met until I actually receive my nursing license. I believe that to care for anyone in general, you have to have a certain level of compassion, empathy, willfulness and patience. I carry all of these traits mainly because this is a job that I'm positively passionate about. I want to be that person who makes a difference in someone else's life whether if it's physically, mentally or emotionally. I created this profile because I am in nursing school now and I'd like to be able to work flexibly around my school schedule.

I absolutely love the elderly as well as all ages. I'm 19 and have been doing this for a year. I stared at at home care then moved to a facility but I would rather be doing at home. Ever since I was little I used to go to church with my grandma and when I would go I wanted to hang out with the elderly. Until my grandma got sick with cancer I wanted to help out any person I could. I want to help the elderly as well as anyone else who needs it. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is getting to know that person. Listen to all there stories and listen to what they need. I also love going home at the end of the day knowing I helped someone. A personal achievement that I have made is being a QMAP. Most people under the age of 25 do not have this and to me that is a big deal.

What makes me to be a great care giver is my patients, love, compassion, empathy this will make the person to whom you are giving care to know you care about him/her. What attracted me to be a care giver is as the only grant child growing up with my grant parents taking care of them till when they both passed away, I was more aspire than ever to be a care giver cause I enjoy every thing about being with the elderly being with them makes you to be in the world of experience. What I enjoy most about being a care giver is giving back to the society helping them do what they want to do and the way they want it to be done. I love caring for people. That's why I prefer in home assignments, it gives me the opportunity to work personally with one client and build a relationship. Giving all my attention is best, as I can provide the greatest level of care that way. As a young girl I saw how short people were with my grandmother who had dementia. It was disturbing. I have been providing health-related support to patients especially for the elderly, orienting those with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, post-surgery, and other health related issues. I am going to school to obtain my degree in Nursing (RN) full-time so the level of care I provide is reflective on my experience with vitals, wound care, transfers, continent/incontient care, grooming, bathing, mobility, feeding, and basic physical therapy. I am compassionate about the quality of care I provide for those under my care and my experience speaks for itself.

My mission as a certified nursing assistant is to assist with the activities of daily living while preserving dignity, independence and to provide care that will help individuals live their best life. I have been a certified nursing assistant for 14 years. At a young age I knew that my passion was caring for people. I completed my nursing assistant training while in high school. Most of my experience is in dementia and Alzheimer's care. I have assisted individuals with activities of daily living in their home and at a local assisted living facility. The last 6 years I have worked in hospice care . I am a Certified Hospice and Pallative Nursing Assistant (CHPNA) by the Hospice & Palliative Nurses Foundation. Providing hospice care can be difficult, but for me to assist individuals and their family during a difficult time in their life is a honor.
