Hello my name is Jaimee and what drove me to being a care manager was my two grandmothers , I was fortunate enough to take care and assist not only my great grandmother but my grandma as well, whom suffered from memory loss. Seeing the journey that was ahead can always seem challenging, but after her passing, I knew it was my calling. I have a big heart and am passionate about what I do, being able to bring a smile to my residents well providing them dignity and a sense of independence is a great feeling. Everyday is not always the same but ensuring safety and security with quality care is what I can bring.

What makes me a great care giver I stared at a early age I was only 15 when I started. My mother is a RN and my auntie raise me most of the time when my mom working long night . My favorite part is I can bond with my patients I get to here there life story we get to laugh smile and get to know each other . I jus enjoy every moment of the day with my patients I love being a caregiver just to see patients happy makes me happy I won't them to feel loved and supposed safe and comfortable with me .

I had am elder grandmother who was 110 years whom I used take care of back way home, she was really too old and couldn't do everything by her self that inspired me in becoming a care giver because I knew I care do it better. I really like what am doing of being a care giver because it became part of me.I like helping with ADLs , being a companion to other people I got alot of experience for the years I have been working as a care giver and I believe am a good person someone can trust.

As a 5th grader I visited a nursing home on a field trip and loved the interaction I had with the seniors. From then on I knew I wanted to be in the healthcare fields .

Experts that help me be a great care giver is that don't see it as a job it is something I'm passionate about. What attracted me to be come a care give is that I like to help people . What enjoy most about being a caregiver is the best is putting smiles on people faces. The personal achievement I'm proud of is my Celitificate.

My mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2000? As the cancer progressed, she wasn't able to take care of her self.During her illness, she lived with me and I began to care for her. Taking care of my mother gave me purpose and I wanted to help others like her.This is why I decided to take the steps to becoming a caregiver.

I have been a caregiver most of my life. I cared for my grandmother with bronchial asthma and half a lung,, my mother had a brain tumor for several years with thyroid cancer and skin cancer, my uncle had colon cancer and Parkinson's Disease and lived with me. I have 2 grown sons. I have a paraplegic wheelchair bound husband who works as a hospital administrator for a convalescent/hospice hospital. I have been a Licensed Vocational Nurse since January 2003. I love being a caregiver because I get great satisfaction from helping others deal with their health issues to meet their optimal health status, whether it be physically, mentally, spiritually, etc... if possible. I am also a massage therapist, singer, and poet. I use these skills if necessary also. I have gone on a Mission trip, voluntarily, to Ghana, Africa, to help triage on a nursing team, for Paul Wilbur Ministries. One of my most accomplishments in life. I also have volunteered to help deliver food to the hungry for Riverside Mission, among many other organizations.I also have worked as a nurse voluntarily for an autism camp a couple summers ago. I was a bus driver for the special needs children/young adults for approx. 6 years before graduating from nursing School. I have willingly been a part to give back to the human population whenever I can.

I became a caregiver because I have a love for helping others in need. I enjoy making my patient's smile, giving them comfort, and letting them know that their not alone, I love being a companion. A personal achievement I'm proud of myself with is getting employee of the month at my former job because all my patients loved the way I cared for them. I'm also proud of being on the Dean's list at school and completing my goal to continue to be successful. I have been working as a Certified Nurses assistant for nine years, I'm also certified for physical therapy, CPR certified. I'm currently going to school for an associates degree for Medical administrative assistant which I will be graduating in August of 2015. I also have taking up phlebotomy. I'm a peoples person and I love being a help to them if necessary working and the nursing field is truly one of my callings.

My experience of 10 years in caregiving and continuous education has made me a great caregiver. When I was young, I used to visit my Grandmother during vacation and I used to help her alot of activities e.g house chores. Since then I developed a heart and love for the seniors and the needy. I also worked in a Seniors Home (St . Peter 's) as a volunteer for 8 years. My personal achievement is when I give my services to the needy and make a change in their lives.
