US Army Reserve

I have been doing caregiving for about 3 years now for mentally disabled people from all ages and I love it knowing I am helping those that need it and love their attitude they cand be stressful at times but most of all enjoy being with them.

1. I am a caring person taking some time off from bsn nursing program. Caregiving is part of nursing. I am cna certifiable by my education in nursing school in westcoast university. 2. I feel satisfied after seeing a well taken care of patient. 3. I have been to a few humanitarian missions to various places to help with the medical mission to various recipients such as local population and homeless veterans. 4. I have an AA in sociology and am a war vet for the US army duting OIF. I have a family of three kids and a loving wife and I will do anything to provide for them. I am very task oriented and am very responsible.

I became a Caregiver to help people less fortunate than myself. I enjoy being a Caregiver because it gives me an opportunity to improve the quality of life for those I assist. I enjoy keeping the mood light and helping them in a way that makes them feel more self efficient and at ease. A Personal achievement I am proud of is my daughter and my C.N.A. certification. I am an extremely compassionate person and love developing relationships with the people I care for. I hope to begin school soon and major in psychology.

Having been in the nursing field for about 13 years, I have recently graduated from CSULB with a degree in Theater Arts, also developing my interest in Fine Arts & Film. Nursing has been my financial backbone while being able to pursue my dreams as an artist. I am happy to provide good people with great quality care, and I am especially happy when the two worlds of art & healthcare can meet. I have provided training some of my patients to help develop their interests as well in subjects such as art/crafts, video editing, writing, music, & other interests. I lead an active lifestyle, with yoga as my foundation of mind body awareness. I am open to so many ways of life, as culture & spirituality are often an essential part of my projects and lifestyle. Simply put, I'm a Nurse who's an Artist & I look forward to meeting you!

I believe that Iam a great caregiver because I am willing to go out my way to provide for employers and their families. I became I caregiver because I wanted to help people more it makes me happy to know that I can help and make a difference in someone's life.

Care giving is one of the most rewarding careers I can think of. You get to give companionship when family can not. I have seen what it means to my husbands 94yr old grandfather and it felt like a calling. I have a culinary certificate, so cooking is not an issue. I am up to date on my CPR/First Aid/AER certification. I just completed my last class for Chemical Dependency Specialist/Mental Health and start clinics in January. In the mean time, I am starting a CNA course to add to my resume and it will be completed on December 8,2017. (These hours do not affect my ability to work during the day). I umderstand through my college work that addiction can impact the elderly and I want to specialize in that for the Polk County Area. I would adore the chance to find a family to work with that will appreciate the variety of different skills I can bring to being a companion!

I am currently a medic in the US Army Reserve and I have been caring for the elderly and special needs community since I was 21 years old. I am a state certified in BLS and and I am also a proxy caregiver in the state of ga. I am also the owner of Exclusive Concierge Services in Columbus GA and we care for elderly and special needs persons.
