Hello! My name is Stephan Salmon. A little about me: I am an avid sports fan and moviegoer. I am attracted to being a caregiver due to the rewarding work from the job. I love helping people and is rewarding! I also recently purchased a house in early 2021 and have loved putting work in to it!

My personality consist of empathy, compassion, cooperativeness , patience, and being considerate. My belief is empathy is the #1 core characteristic of an excellent caregiver. I often question if this is inherent within us or this is something which can be learned. I tend to believe it’s a lot of inherent and a big mix of environment. I also believe there are degrees of empathy. Some can empathize more than others. If you can totally put yourself in the place of who you are caring for, you will do nothing but provide excellent care. Imagine being unable to obtain your own meal, bathe yourself, get dressed, or go to the bathroom independently. Imagine the feelings involved when you lose that independence and have to ask for help. Imagine having no one to count on when you need them.Besides children, most care recipients are elderly. As we age our bodies no longer move the way they used to. Add an injury, or physical illness and movement is more difficult, slower and may be painful.

I am a great caregiver who have genuine concern for others, caring, conscious and dependable. After retirement I wanted to get back in the workforce in a way that made a difference. I hadn't considered senior care not until my aunt became ill and was hospitalized. There was no one to care for her so I moved her into my home and nursed her back to health. After spending several years assisting senior friends and family with personal ADL needs I decided I will enroll as a PCA to learn the job of a home health aide and become certified, which I did and now I am enjoying it. Most older adults wants to maintain an independent lifestyle, but not all of them have family members close by who can assist when necessary. My caring nature, friendly persona, professional training, and experience ensure that I provide my clients with the best care. I am willing to be on-call to lend a helping hand. I am also CPR certified. I am proud of being a trusted, dependable, reliable, caretaker for individuals who need assistance and I am there to offer the assistance with an open heart. Hello. My name is Niyetroshia Harris. I am 28 years of age and i love my new career. I chose this career after my grandmother became ill because i realized the passion i had to what i was doing. I am very dependable, caring and passionate. I realize that with the aging challenges many people require the extra help. My sole purpose is to take the pressure from the family and friends by providing the care, love and companionship needed. I became a caregiver because I love helping others and also since I am in college for Registered Nursing I knew this will be a great way to gain knowledge and experience in the medical field. I am an outgoing person. I enjoy helping and taking care of others. I come from a long line of people taking care of others. My mother took care of her elderly mother and ill sister. I helped take care of my aunt with Alzheimer's. I also took care of my elderly parents. Too often, older people are simply written off as useless. I believe elderly people have a wealth of knowledge to pass on to us. They need help at the twilight of their years. They often sacrificed so much for the families they raised when they were young. It is the least we can do. I raised a son pretty much as a single parent. He is in the first responder service. I see him trying to give his all in this job. What more could I ask for out of life!
