I am from CT and used to work for Companions and Homemakers in Enfield CT. I found it very rewarding. Just to see someones face light up when they see you warmed my heart. At first, it was a part time job to get me out of the house , but then I really started to click with the elderly. I loved listening to their stories and actually just visiting with them. I left work feeling like I accomplished something...I really did. I made someones day by just being there for them. If they had a Dr. appt. or just wanted to go grocery shopping I would take them. I found working with the elderly so rewarding.

I have been a Special Education teacher since 1978. I have recently decided to become a care giver and believe I am perfect for this job because I am compassionate, I enjoy helping people, I am creative, and determined. I am very well versed with different populations, ages, and cultures. I have learned over the past 30 years while teaching, each person is unique and deserves individualized care.

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I have over 15 years of experience caring for the elderly. I have cared for seniors with Dementia, Alzheimer's and mobility issues. Nothing is more important than quality care and quality companionship. It is essential to get to know your clients and spend time with them doing the things they enjoy doing. I think it is so special to talk to them about their lives and help to create a journal of memories for the family to have. I am a local middle school Autism teacher so I am not available during the day hours until after 4 p.m. and can do overnights as long as I could leave by 6 a.m. I can cook, clean, transport and spend quality time with your loved ones. I can pass any FBI background check, could be bonded and will pass any drug test. I do not drink nor smoke. I am very patient person. I speak kindly and with a lot of respect. I like to have a good conversation and to support others' point of views. I like to care for older people, because I feel they need help. I can give medications, I can cook, I can give bath, I can carry them. I was taking care of an old woman in a home for a little while. I am very pleasant person and enjoy offering care and help.

I started as a CNA when I was 16 and loved it there second I started working in a nursing home. I loved hearing the stories my residents had and the relationships I built with all of them. I am patient and understanding and have a lot of experience (6 years total) taking care of the elderly and disabled. I am now a second grade teacher and just miss interacting with and taking care of the elderly.

Hello I am a 50 year old wife, mother and grandmother, I am a loving and family orrientated person. I have been a CNA for over 29 years, I love working with people of all ages. I have worked for the school systems since 1999 as well as worked in long term facilities. I am very experienced and I love my job helping others. I enjoy being a care giver because i like helping others.

My own parents are in another state and are getting older. This has made me more aware of some ways that I could help out with others. I have been a working special educator for over 30 years, which I think illustrates that I am caring and compassionate. Even more important than that though, I am kind and patient. I want someone to be that way with my parents and I would like to share that with someone closer to where I live also.
