As a little girl, my mom always took me to work with her. She's a caregiver. As I became an adult, I love helping elderly people. I love to help, cook, clean, and sit and talk to them. I am very patient and caring, I love people. I have really enjoyed working with the mentally challenged, but really don't want to work full time. I should be a CNA but was not able to pass the state board testing here in Fl. I am going to give it another shot, I passed the written but failed the clinical testing due to a minor error. I took a CNA pep course and feel I'm very qualified, but just don't have that piece of paper. I am looking for P/T work in the St. Augustine area. I have lived here for 3 yrs. I lived in Jacksonville for 20 yrs. I raised my children there and they are still there, as well as my grand daughter. I hope to here from someone soon who needs some assistance. I think that what make me a great caregiver is because I care for others, first and foremost, in addition of being trustworthy, respectful, and hard worker. I worked in private homes for over 10 years, taking care of patients suffering from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, and dementia, among others; also, a special needs boy, who has been suffering from cerebral palsy.
