Hello my name is Afinati Taylor I am 24 years old I have 3 beautiful children and a fiance. I been doing nursing work since I was the age of 15/16 I always seen my mother and my other family members that were nurses help the elderly and as time went by it ended up being something I loved to do .

I've been a caregiver for more than 10 years but been certified for7 years. I took care of my mother and grandmother before taking care of others. I really enjoy the company of the elderly. I enjoy taking t h e resident out for the day, talking with them , cooking or whatever that is needed. Im very involved in what needs to be done. I have patience and respect for all my clients.

What makes me a great caregiver is I love Lord and this is my ministry to take care of people. I have been doing this for 25 years and I will continue because I love assisting people in all ways that is needed, for them to stay safe. I am dependable, punctual and compassionate person.

I became a caregiver 9 yrs, ago. it all began when my aunt was admitted in to a nursing home facility. my grandmother would go visit her on a daily and every day after school I would go with her and every day my aunt would be in the same situation. soiled, left in bed for hours. with bed sores all over her from not being reposition. So from tht day forward I had vow that I would become a nurse or a caregiver. I vowed that I would do my best to make sure tht every patient that I came in contact with will have the best care tht I could provide. it brings me joy that I can help them physical or emotionally. I look at each and everyone of them as my own family. I believe with tht brings out the best in all of us to want to do our best. my best achievement is not of any awards but the reward of being there to my best for my patients to put a smile on there face and for them to feel of importance and to let them knw their voices matters.

I become a caregiver when my grandma was not give adequate care in a nursing facility. I want everyone to be able to stay home as long as possible and be able to receive proper care. I really love to help others and to care for others.

I have been a caregiver for 9 years now and love every min of it. I actually got into to caregiver through my mother friend. She needed some help with her elderly mother and I was available to do it. When I started working with her I fell in love with caregiving.
