Hi! My sister and I are seeking an honest, reliable, and experienced caregiver for our 79-year-old Mother who lives in Lemoore, CA. Mom is an active, ambulatory, independent soul who was recently diagnosed with dementia, so she needs the assistance of a caregiver/companion her home. Mom is a vibrant, capable, independent person, and maintaining her independence is the most important thing to her. The perfect companion for Mom would be someone who would assist her with driving to appointments and errands, go out for groceries, take her to go shopping at Ross, prepare healthy meals for her, and most importantly, provide assistance with medication reminders. We would like someone who can possibly work 30-40 hours per week, approximately 4-6 hours per day during the morning and/or afternoon hours. Like I said, we do have some flexibility with the hours. Since we would prefer to have care for her 5 to 7 days a week, we would also consider hiring two providers who could split the days and time. But we also wouldn't mind if one person wanted all the hours. We can be extremely flexible! We would really like support to begin immediately, effective December 1, 2021 - so if you're ready, so are we! If you are a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNAs) or have any type of nursing/medical training and/or experience it is a definite plus, but it's not required. And since Mom has dementia, any prior experience working with other dementia patients would obviously be helpful as well; but again, it's not required.
