92 yo mother w dementia/Alzheimer’s. Uses lift machine from bed to wheelchair @ wheelchair to commode. Mom is immobile. Need to manual transfer from wheelchair to stairlift chair if going out. So it helps if you’re strong. Basically needs help with everything. She can get combative so if you have experience working with dementia/Alzheimer’s patients, it helps.
About this Care Recipient
My 92 yo mother lives at home with me. She has late stage dementia/Alzheimer’s. She immobile & uses stand assist lift machine to transfer from bed to wheelchair & from wheelchair to commode. . She can get agitated & combative. Need someone w experience working w dementia patients and of machine equipment. If you know hoyer lift then you can learn this machine. Also have to manual transfer from wheelchair to stairlift chair & vice verce if we go out. So it helps if you’re strong & can transfer. She has bad aching back too so her reclining wheelchair helps . She’ll want me to rub her lower back. She basically needs help with everything...
