Looking to hire a reliable caregiver to be an evening companion to elderly parents in Issaquah, WA (98029). Parents live together in an assisted living apartment where their daily nursing and personal care needs are provided. We are looking for a companion to engage, support and provide memory minding for both until dad goes to bed (9-9:30). After that, mom needs help focusing on herself and winding down for the night. Caregiver would provide companionship, emotional support, help to review weekly schedule and organization of apartment, going for walks, and getting to bed. Occasional one-on-one time with dad when mom is involved in singing lessons or choir once or twice a week. We are looking for interested companions who have experience with memory and communication limitations and who are willing to develop a relationship with two lovely older people. Needed 6 evenings Sunday-Friday from 7:30pm-10:00pm and it pays $25/hour. To begin January 30, 2017 and while I estimate 15 hours per week, caregiver needs to have flexibility in the event that they need to stay later if mom is having a hard time getting ready for bed.
