I chose to become a nurse’s aide because I love taking care of people. I enjoy as much direct patient contact as possible in order to form good relationships based on trust and caring. I like being able to anticipate what is needed from me to make my clients happy and feel cared for. I feel I have done my best work when I am able to get my clients who maybe are resistant to having assistance agree to having my help and are happy for the experience after. I have been certified for 14 years but before that I have always held positions were my primary duty was as a caregiver. I have been a nanny, worked in a veterinary clinic, took care of ailing family members. I love feeling that I have I hope contributed to increasing the quality of life to those I have cared for.
