About Leighton

I am a great caregiver beacuse i am family oriented. I am very patient, compassionate and kind. I became a caregiver beacuse when i was young growing up i would always volunteer in Nursing homes and Assisted living facilities thats when i realize thats what i wanted to do in the future is caring for the elderly. I like being a caregiver beacuse i like helping whomever the patient is and whatever illnesses he or she might be diagnose with. My personal achievement that i am proud of is that i am married to a wonderful woman and has 2 beautiful children. My daughter is a juinor in college and my son is attending middle school. There is a lot more to be proud of but i will tell you in the interview.

My interest in caregiving started at an early age. Every sunday after church I would visit the sick and shut in members and others who requested prayers. I then attended a Medical Specialty High School and was involved in volunteering at local Adult Day Cares. When I was about 15 years of age my grandmother started developing Dementia and shortly after had a stroke. I became her main caregiver; cooking, cleaning, reading to her when not in school.
