I was born a caregiver, helping and caring for my sister Nicole whom has Rett Syndrome (a rare reurological disorder leaving child in an infant-like state). My sensitivity to her condition and sticking up for the disabled kids in school, made me feel good. Also, it was rewarding to work with my sister so I tried other clients too. Having other clients to care for was also a blessing and just as rewarding and I fell in love with this profession. Via Caring Solutions I had many many compliments for the short time I worked there until I found a full-time position with a client that I really connected with. I was instantly hired (as in most cases) and I am proud of that. I have a very warm, caring "bedside manner" so-to-speak and I love giving pep talks, doing range of motion exercises, teaching guided meditations, and doing whatever my client(s) love to do that are within a safe setting and their limitations if any physical limitations exist. No injuries needed for anyone. I have personally cared for and transferred 180 lb people without the person whom I was transferring's help because he could not help unfortunately. I did the transfers of him with ease and found it to be a good physical activity. Also, I stopped my life activities to save my client because he was basically quadriplegic and I moved in as a temporary Live-In PCA while his Live-In was in the hospital on three occasions and I gathered a team that my client was comfortable with to support me and my clien
