About Destiny

Hi, My name is Destiny. I became a caregiver at first inadvertently. My grandpa had a stroke a few years ago and my grandma decided to keep him at home, so I spent a lot of time helping her out with him and learning from all of the nurses and therapists he had. After he passed, I realized I enjoyed helping people who perhaps can't do little tasks or anything for themselves. I also liked the pure companionship aspect as well, I was always laughing or learning new things from the people I have met. You really make life time connections with the client and the family. It's amazing. I would say I am simply proud of how far I have come. In high school I was always proud of my academic achievements and swimming career. In college I was proud of how I was succeeding and meeting new people in a new place. Now, I am proud of all of the people I have been able to help and all of the new things I've experienced in life. Currently, my main hobby outside of working is working out. Taking care of myself is of the utmost importance to me and makes me completely happy. When you feel good about yourself you can help others that much better.
