My name is Desiree I became a caregiver because my brother was born with a disability. I grew up helping take care of him and learning different styles of compassionate competent care. I like being a caregiver because it makes me feel good knowing I'm helping someone even if its preparing a meal, setting up a shower, organizing medication, or being that one person they can talk to when they don't feel so good. I plan to further my education by becoming a mental health nurse. I am currently doing that right now being young I'm proud to say I am able to put a clients needs before mine and their safety. I've worked in nursing homes before, pediatrics, and rehabilitation facilities. For now I just want to further my experience by working with different care of needs. I am always interested in learning.
