1. I became a caregiver after both of my grandmothers were diagnosed with Alzheimer's. One of them lives in a nursing home and when I would visit her I would always find myself pushing the elderly around in their wheelchairs, talking to them, or helping them. I am a Christian and I do believe that being a caregiver is what God has called me to do. I am extremely passionate about what I do. 2. The thing I like about being a caregiver is helping people.I like the fact that if somebody is having a bad day that I can turn it around for them. I love walking into a room and seeing a resident happy and smiling at me. I love the personal bond that you make with each individual. 3. One thing that I am proud of is my ability to fulfill my dreams. I went into care giving with no experience. I shocked myself with how good I am at it. My senior year of high school I went half a day to high school , half a day to a college to take my medical terminology classes, I worked full time , and had my own place at the age of 18. I pride myself on being independent and making my dreams happen. I do plan on going to school to be an R.N. 4. I am from a little town with a population of 190, maybe a little more. It is located in Arkansas.I worked full time at a assisted living there and I am completely in love with what I do. I am very family oriented . I have a big family, so family is very important to me.
