About Paul

Before I provide an overview, let me first state that although I am asking for $17/hour, for live-in assignments I am only asking for $150 - $200 per day! That's a big savings when you compare how much caregiver agencies charge a day for live-in caregivers! Since 2011 I have been working as a professional caregiver, have a Bachelor of Arts degree in history (graduated with high honors), became a DMAS-Compliant Personal Care Aide certified in 2015, and also took the distance course for Personal Care Aide certification through the Institute For Professional Care Education, based in Oregon. So I have TWO PCA certifications. From October of 2016 to September of 2020, I worked as a Patient Care Technician for BrightStar Care in Fairfax, Virginia. I also did private work (paid by the family directly) as a personal assistant/caregiver/butler/cook/medical transport technician. My most recent full time assignment was as a live-in caregiver for an elderly couple in Inverness, Florida; from December 2, 2020 to September 11, 2021; through AM Love Senior Care in Ocala. It resulted in hospice work and the eventual passing of a client. In December of 2021 I took the Home Health Aide Competency Test, aced it, and got HHA certification from ComForCare Home Health in Longwood, Florida. I am experienced, knowledgeable, conscientious, punctual, and a people-oriented person. Since I technically don't yet have a regular home to go to in Florida, it allows me greater flexibility for overnight assignments, to the benefit of the clients in need of a live-in caregiver.

$13.00/hour · Tampa, FL
While working in a nursing delivering care to 15 patients, one visitor approach me and congratulate me after watching giving care to a friend she was visiting and offered me to take care of her mother on my days off, twice a week. I joined my skills, my experiences and love to deliver care to one person at a time after being offered the job. When a patient entrusted me their care I feel overpouring joy and I do not value them less than a family member, I take care of my patient the same way I expect to be treated when my turn comes to be in that bed or in similar situation, because this is an everyday challenge very hard for them to face. Raising my children is one of the accomplishments I am very proud of and I have devoted myself entirely so I could be a winner, and when I trace back memories of patients I took care years ago, I had applaud myself to bringing patients back to life with the quality of care that I deliver everyday, every time the opportunity is giving to me. I am very caring, very patient, compassionate and I am very proud of what I do because I do it well every time, my immediate supervisor is my conscience.
