Becoming a caregiver was an easy decision, because it’s one of the most rewarding things a person can do. I have a passion for putting others first. Seeing someone with an intellectual disability able to lead a happy, safe and fulfilling life is enough to make it all worthwhile. Being a caregiver is great because, in essence, it’s about making small changes to your everyday life to make major beneficial changes to someone with an intellectual disability. Seeing them respond to their new environment and the care and love that shapes it provokes a feeling that must be experienced to be believed. And there ’s simply no reward quite like watching the smile emerge and hearing their laughter. I decided to go back to school an earn a degree in the medical field and have since, earned a Bachelor's degree in Health Service Management. I am a very kind and empathetic individual, who is very dependable with lots of patience. I have advanced Alzheimer’s experience and show strength. I'm very flexible to the client needs. I am a caregiver who will always provide care that is of the best quality possible. ... more
