I became a Cna at 17 years old when my Great Grandmother decided she would not stay home with us, not wanting to burden family. I decided that one of us needed to go to her then and went to Job Corp got my Ged and Cna before my Highschool class graduated. I then took my first job at Parkview Nursing and Rehab in Waterloo, Iowa . I believe in giving my clients and their families the best of me as I see the big picture and know how hard caring at home can be. In 1998 my grandpa was diagnosed with Parkinson's We kept him home as long as we could and then I went to work at Country View where he was first placed due to memory problems. He ended up back home ! We cared for him until he suffered a fall ( very common in Parkinson's ) at that time Caring for the elderly in a loving, respectful and life enriching way no matter the illness/ ability is my goal! I want my clients to have the best day each day they spend with me and I have an amazing portfolio showcasing my light work and great family references! I am capable of all aspects of homecare! I have 20 plus years experience. I am loyal and dependable, I have a glowing, upbeat personality! Great references and letters of recommendations! I am a very trustworthy and organized person ! I'm really great with older patients I can actually relate to them more then anybody else, I have a funny personality which makes my patients laugh even more but also I'm always there for them even when I'm not working I always assure them I'm a phone call away whenever they need something. I make sure that they are well taken care of and that they are scatisfied with everything before I leave work. I also get really attached to my patients once I start working with them so I usually call and check up on them on my days off.
