I raised a very large family my children are all adults and I am now a widow I have been active in my church charitable programs fund raisers and am a faith formation teacher for over 40 years my life has consisted of care giver, I experienced first my sisters n brother in law special needs and cared in a hospice like conditions then in 2006 my oldest son was a diabetic and went into a brain coma we were told he could not recover I nursed him at home for a good part of his condition before his death. Also I brought my 72 year old brother with Parkinson's and cared for him for 3 year till he moved to one of my other sisters,also had the privilege when I was a para profesional for our local high school special Ed for almost three years

What I Enjoy Most About Being A Caregiver Is That Not Only Do U Just Work For Your Client U Grow A Strong Bond With Most And U Meet Just Kind Elderly People With Big Hearts!!! What Attracted Me To Be Caregiver Is That I Just Always Wanted To Help The Elderly And I Enjoy Doing It.

I started out working in the kitchen dishwasher n I saw people taking care of residents in the nursing home n so one day I decided that I wanted to be a care giver taking care of the residents when I started I couldn't do it I cried because I was the type of person didn't like to start something and couldn't finish so I prayed to the Lord and ask him to give me a strong hearth an mind to be a good certified nurses aide n he did and I became one and I been a nurses aide for years then I became a medaide been that for 21 years that's how I got started

I am trustworthy, loyal, nurturing, and I have some education. I feel like I am a compassionate person and my references would agree. I keep a clean house and I'm very organized. I cared for one of my great grandmother until she passed away in 2015-she was 87. I also helped and cared for my other great grandmother who passed away in December of 2018. She had Alzheimer's and was in a nursing home but I spent a lot of time there brushing her hair, talking to her, making her laugh and smile, feeding her, and helping with her grooming and anything she needed. So life experience has been the best experience! I really have a passion and respect for our elders and they deserve the best. I love learning from their wisdom and I love the companionship. I also love to cook and I absolutely love helping anyone in anyway I can.
