Since a child I've always wanted to be in the health field , I grew up trying to help as many people as I possibly could . During my final year of middle I applied to the Academy of health professions program at Gainesville High School where I spent my four years of high school learning about the health field . Before Graduating I was able to sit for the state CNA exam where I earned my license and have been practicing since. What I enjoy the most about the health field is being able to make a change in patients lives . Even if I can't change their outcomes I know for certain I can change their moods and put a smile on their faces just by listening to what they have to say and reassuring them that I'm there for them . Everyone deserves to be in a good mood .

I am an army wife, I have been married for 16 years and we have 2 teenage boys. I am currently finishing up my AA degree and hope to get accepted into the RN program, fall on 16. I was born and raised in Newberry, FL, but I love to travel.

I recently took the emt course and competed it esrning my emt certification and plan to take my state exam soon. I also took a cna course and I'm in the process of waiting to be approved for testing. I've worked at Dixie Old Town Rental as a secretary until it closed this past year, as a secretary. I'm a hard working and passionate person and would love to get involved in home health.

I've worked in many different areas of the medical field and I'm back where I started 35 years ago, Home Care. I love getting to know people and making their lives easier. To be able to put a smile on their face or hear them laugh a little. Then there times when just sitting and holding a hand or listening to a story that they want to tell, is all it take. I enjoy being a part on improving someone's life who needs help with activities. I enjoyed building a strong relationship with the patient. It was a rewarding experience to know that my being there for her made such a difference in her morale. It gave her something to look forward to and i believe helped prolong her life. I am understanding, patient & caring. I will go the extra mile to make sure the patient is comfortable and happy.

My Mother's breast cancer came back and she was terminal. She could no longer care for my disabled Father, so I stepped in to help with cleaning, meal prep, and Dr. appointments. I enjoyed getting to know my parents better until their passing. We had a lot of laughs and hard conversations as well. I became a CNA a year and a half into caring for my parents part time. I was a carpenter by trade and decided on a career change.I have taken care of other patients privately. In the five years that I have been a CNA, I have become quite an advocate for the disabled and enjoy searching for resources to their betterment. I am a married mother of two grown daughters. I enjoy the outdoors and the theater. I have compassion for people in general.. I love to hear their stories and share ideas and experiences of my own. I care for people the way I would want to be treated.

The reason I became a caregiver is because I love taking care of elderly people and they put a smile on my face at the end of the day because I know I helped them get everything that they needed and wanted at the end of the day I can say may I help you with anything my paitents tell me yes Ill go to beyond for them just to keep a smile on there face
