I have always had a soft spot in my heart for children, and thought I would work with children as an adult. Well, I guess there was something else I was suppose to do with my life instead, and that is working with elderly people. I worked in a hospital several years ago, and most of our patients were elderly. I have done in home care, and that's when I realized what a tender heart I truly have for elderly people. They just make my heart sing! I like spending time talking with them, I have learned how wise most really are. I love being able to help them with daily personal chores or activities they can no longer do by themselves. I went to massage school and when one of my patients has pain sometimes I can help relieve some of the pain with a little massaging. When I feel like I have helped in a small way this can mean something greater to my patient. I do have a cna license.
