1)I am a friendly person with a natural capability of providing continuous care. Empathy is embedded in my personality, also, I am a good listener. Moreover, I have a track record of giving elderly and child care and immensely enjoy each moment of my work. 2)Possessing a nurturing nature, caregiving comes naturally to me. I have worked in different personal care capacities for more than seven years. I am a compassionate individual who enjoys providing exceptional care to people of different ages. It gives me great satisfaction to help someone, and the job enables me to bring a positive change in the lives of my clients. 3)You enjoy a lot of flexibility and independence in your work. You like working one-on-one with someone and developing a relationship with a client. You can be creative and think on your feet. You like tasks such as cooking for someone, helping with errands/shopping, conversing and participating in activities with your client. You like fulfilling someone's requests and catering to an individual's likes and dislikes. You enjoy a home-like environment. 4) My personal reason for becoming a caregiver was the changes my family was going through with my grandmother. when my grandmother was 88 years old she was still walking, feeding herself, changing clothes herself, she was able to do everything on her own. never needed help. But it tooks us to take to a doctors to doctors appoiments that sooner and later we found that her kidneys working so days after she ended up in the hospital and we had to make a descion on putting her on dyalises or leaving her go couple months and putting her to hospice. It was decsion for us but we decided putting on dylises and know we went from walking and doing everything her own to wheelchair, week, walker, nurse aide, 3 times a week dyalises treatment, cant stand up by herself.

I've been in the health care field for more then 9+ years and love every minute of it. Being able to help someone who can't completely help themselves and be appreciated for the help, time & effort, is the best feeling in the world . I started off working with my great grandmother who currently at the time is 106. While working with her I observed the other workers weren't treating her the way she should've been treated. I wanted to be able to help her and many others that were being mistreated like that, to be put in a better safe & enjoyable environment . I currently finished my CNA training in December 2014 and currently on the waiting list to join the RN program. In addition to helping my grandmother I just finished working with my aunt, whom recently passed away of brain and lung cancer. I worked with her for 6month and did total care on her. Bathing, feeding, medicine, walking etc.
