Hello! My name is Jessica Cox. I was educated as a historian, but in my current job as a caregiver, I take care of a lovely one year old girl. Watching her learn and grow every day is amazing, and I am always in awe. Since it has been winter, many of our days have been spent reading and playing with blocks. I love to give care and companionship to those who need it. I look forward to this next stage in my career; caring for people is something I wish to do for the foreseeable future.
I became a nurse after I had my child. I have 15 years of experience as a nurse and I'm CPR certified. I've been a nurse since 2000. I started by working in the hospital and moved into private duty nursing. I've taken care of people of all ages from preemies to hospice, from mental disabilities to physical ones. I love what I do. I'll admit I get car sick so riding around isn't a good idea for me but as long as I'm driving I'm good. I do clean while I'm working. Taking out trash, doing dishes that were used, laundry, and any other messes that may come up. I'm not someone that is always on my phone and I like to interact with the people I work with. I'm a great listener and a fast learner. I love working with and learning about new people. At the moment I have a vehicle from 9am until 9pm. I've alway been told that I'm a people person and can get along with anyone. And I really hope that I will get that chance. My rate is negotiable depending on care.

I am a happily married mother of 5. I take great pride in taking care of my patients, that's why I have great references. I genuinely enjoy being a caregiver. It all started back with my aunt being disabled. As a child seeing her struggles made me want to better her without making her feel bad like others did... I feel it is my calling to be a caregiver.
Caring for many family members throughout cancer treatments, strokes, and hospice made me realize that I want to be the caring, patient, and loving caregiver for others as well! I believe everyday is what you make of IT, and our loved ones need to do the same through conversation, a popsicle outside on a hot day, over a great meal, fun games, or simple conversation.
I'm a cheerful, compassionate, dependable, trustworthy person who loves to help others that are unable to do things on their own. I love to sing or read to my clients, play cards or other board games if they wish and even color, or just watch tv, talk, whatever they prefer doing. I am in search of fulltime work within 15 to 20 miles of my home. Prefer nights, but will consider other options.
My family does not believe in putting our elderly in a nursing home unless we cannot provide the proper care needed. It is very rewarding to make people comfortable and happy. Me being able to provide the things I need without the help of others I am a very easygoing, hard working and loving individual that will treat your family member like they were my own.
