I became a Caregiver because it was something I was born to do. You might say "a calling". My parents raised us kids to help people. Whether its shoveling snow for the elderly, or giving someone a hand doing something, we did it. One of my favorite things about being a Caregiver is knowing I was able to help. It's such a good feeling to look into someone's eyes and see them smile. That's the best reward. One of my personal achievements is making employee of the month, but personally, I feel my greatest achievement is when a family member comes up to me, gives me a hug and thanks me. What an ama zing feeling! I grew up in a village in Upstate New York. My grandfather owned his own farm. We grew crops and hunted and fished for a lot of our food. I'm a true country girl with grew up with ethics. God country and family are still my beliefs. I'm not afraid of hard work and I'm always eager to pitch in to lend a helping hand.
