I have worked as a caregiver for over 10 years. I enjoy helping others, assuring them they can still do a lot on their own, and watching them grow as individuals.

I enjoy working with people and spending time with others. I strive to work well as a team and provide direct communication between coworkers. Being a caregiver meant I was able to help others and provide the care I believe they deserve.

Possess certification in first aid techniques as well as CPR certified. Caring for my grandma inspired me to become a caregiver. I cared for her for years, and through that experience, I learned that I'm passionate about helping people and improving the daily lives of those in need of care. Supporting my grandma taught me skills like patience, compassion and problem-solving. I learned how to address issues quickly and effectively to ensure my grandma was healthy and safe. While the work was challenging, improving my grandma's quality of life made it worthwhile. I've also worked 5 years with many different forms of disabilities. I'd love to apply my skills to help make the same impact at your organization. In my time as a caregiver, I have had many proud and rewarding moments with the people I have cared for. One thing in particular that I am most proud of was when I worked with a non verbal 35 year old women with the mentality of a 2 year old I was able to teach her to say more than one word she is now able to say Hi, bye, i love you, and a few more. She was able to communicate using more than one word for the first time in her life.

I'm a bubbly old soul with ambition and drive and I care deeply for fun emotionally health organization and beauty in every memory :)

Im very good at communicating, especially with dementia/Alzheimer's patients, I have lots of experience with that. I'm very positive about things and always try to have a good outcome of things. I originally wanted to become a nurse because both my mom and grandma are nurses, so I figured I should start out with care giving and I love it! I mostly enjoy the relationship and bond I get with my clients and I enjoy making them happy. A personal achievement that I am most proud of would probably be how far I have came with the care giving field, I was kinda lost at first but I really learned a lot and know what I'm doing now.

In the past, working in care has brought me a deep sense of purpose and joy, and I hope to continue this service in the future. My previous client, Megan, is now a close personal friend even after I moved across the state. I have experience in domestic management and, in combination with my training in culinary arts, I am quite capable in dietary management and preparation. I personally have since recovered from severe hyperacusis and am comfortable provided care to those ailed with such a debilitating condition. I understand the difficulty in creating a safe environment for the management of pain associated with hyperacusis as well as tinnitus and auditory overstimulation. I look forward to meeting those that could benefit from my care and hope that I may be able to make an impact towards improving the quality of life in those I serve.

I have enjoyed being a certified medical assistant for 30 years in numerous different fields. Caring for patients is a passion of mine. I come with numerous years of experience, a fast learner, critical thinker, problem solver, friendly, highly organized and have a talent for caring for people in some of the worst times of their lives with love and grace. In my off time I enjoy spending time with my family and my dogs, traveling, baking and singing music.
