I took care of my father, in our home, for over 8 years before he passed away on Mother's day 2019. I managed his medication, cleaned the house, made his meals, washed his clothes, helped dress and gave him baths. I assisted him in walking and eating. I delt with insurance companies and doctors offices. I took him to and from the doctor. Changed bandages and just sat and talked to him. I now take care of my mother, in almost the same way. I love to help people and make them feel better in any way that I can. Taking the stress off the person and their families is a way, I feel like, I can make that happen. I have learned a lot (hands-on) and a personal achievement I'm proud of, is learning how to pull community resources to assist the families I help.

I am a natural born care-giver. I grew up emotionally taking care of my mom who had a mental illness. From there I became a stay at home mom nurturing and sacrificing for the welfare of my child. It is a trait that comes natural and automatically. I have cared for many individuals as a care-giver/house keeper over the years. My longest job was caring for a bed ridden elderly farmer in deep depression. He did not talk, wore diapers, did not walk and aspirated when he ate so his food had to be pureed.
