Hello, I am a Board Certified Registered Nurse (not just a CNA) who has an innate sense of compassion for her patients as well as almost 10 years of experience in various fields of nursing. Seniors have always held a place in my heart but the tedious duties during my 12 hour shift never allowed me to fully take the time I wanted to with them. I used to sneak into their rooms and read to them or just hold their hands. You might be looking for simple senior care or have a loved one with needs which maybe a bit more complex... such as safe medication administration or transport to doctor's appointments! Rest assured that your search can end here with PEACE OF MIND! I am also available for Respite Care (with overnight options) I am a mother of two (both teenagers) so no callings for sick kiddos and hold a Masters Degree in nursing. I am available for meet and greets via phone, or in person! Please don't hesitate to call me!

Skills & Certifications: Palliative Care, Vision and Eye Disorders, Registered Nurse (RN), Stroke, Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Skin Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, Renal and Urological Disorders, Post Surgery Recovery, Parkinson's Disease, Orthopedic Care, Neurological Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Hospice Care, Home Health Care, HIV/AIDS, Hearing Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Diabetes, Depression, Dementia, COPD, Blood Disorders, Cardiovascular Disorders, Cancer Recovery, Arthritis, ALS, Alzheimer's Disease

I made the decision to help others after helping my grandparents and great grandmother all through out my life. Seeing all of them being surrounded with a supportive family during their final years was truly a blessing, but sadly, not everyone is as lucky to have the constant care they did. I understand that a busy life can get in the way of helping out our loved ones, and I'd love to help them and provide company whenever I can. I love being able to help others and have often been complimented on my patience and understanding with those who need it. In her finally years, I helped my great grandmother with many activities, mostly with household chores and personal company (she was in her 90s whenever I was helping her.) I have been exposed to and helped people with memory issues, cancer, diabetes, etc. I am use to preparing food and reminding others to eat and to take their medication . I have much personal experience in this area and have no problem treating others with respect as I would want to be treated the same way. :)

I became a caregiver because I love and care about people and respect everyone. What was the main reason I chose being a caregiver was because when I was a child i had a handicap aunt. When everyone was outside playing I was in the house assisting and aiding her needs. My aunt was born handicap and therefore has always been in a wheelchair her entire life. She never got the chance to walk or enjoy life but I tried my hardest to help her see the happiness I did for the world. The main reason I like being a caregiver is just helping people enjoy what they may have lost due to age or handicap. It's a pleasure knowing I'm the reason someone is smiling and satisfied wherever they may be in their life. A personal achievement I'm proud of, is being a parent. There's something so rewarding about knowing I'm the reason each of my three children are so well adjusted and comfortable in their lives. In general I'm just a very nurturing and funny person. I try to make the best out of every situation and go above and beyond to make people comfortable. I'm a non confrontational individual and I try my hardest to make those around see the positives in life.
