Two personality traits that have helped me within care giving is that I am very patient and my demeanor is very calm. I started my career as a patient care assistant for Bronson Health after receiving a vocational degree in Certified Nursing Assistant and achieving certification. During that time, I worked primarily in home health, traveling from client to client.

I became a caregiver as a child growing into adulthood. I always cared for the grandparents within family and friends as well as children for family and friends. I opened my home to assist and old friends mother who needed a place to stay after her stroke while her daughter remodeled her home to be wheel chair accessible. After that I took in a child I was caring for who had down syndrome while her grandmother relocated to Oklahoma and got established in which she then came back and picked her up to take her out there with her.
