Hi! I'm Blaykelyn, I've been a C.N.A since February, I got it through my High School. I love every minute of it. I love helping people. I'm going to college for nursing in the fall, but it's a community college so I'll only have classes 2 days a week, so i'll still have the time to do my job.

I just moved to Kentucky. I took care of my beautiful mom and a wonderful lady for over 6 years. They both passed away within 6 months of each other, broke my heart to pieces. I have family in Kentucky and decided to move. I've been here 2 weeks and ready to start my life. When your caregiving, your a care provider, friend, advocate, and grow so close and love the people you take care of. This profession has enriched my life, and it's my calling. I have the experience you are looking for! I am a 57 year old lady with 33 years of registered nursing experience! I have worked with premie newborns to the elderly up to 104 yrs old! I am very loyal and trust worthy. I became a Caregiver because as a teenager, my family took care of my grandfather who was bedridden and had dementia. I was in charge of his breakfast and morning medicine. I found much fulfillment and dedication to help those who can not help them selves. My personal achievements that I am so proud of, is that of the personal relationships I have made throughout my career! One client asked me, "Why are you so nice to me?" I replied, "Because you are my friend." She nodded her head and smiled ear to ear! That one moment brought me so much joy and satisfaction! I was born to be a caregiver!

After taking care of my great grandmother and watching my grandmother be a nurse for 18 years I was hooked. I love to be the person who makes my pt lives better or just a smile on their face. I love meeting and caring for new individuals and being apart of their life, care and family.

I Feel like I am a great care giver because I go above and beyond to make patients/residents feel special. I like to help people feel independent while providing all the help they may need to get through their day successfully. I feel its important to take time to listen to their wants and needs and I don't look at my care as being " just a job". Its important to me to take well care of anyone, rather it be driving the students home from school, providing care in a dialysis facility, or just providing basic needs to someone . I have been involved in a healthcare setting for 20+ years. I have worked in hospital setting, long term care, hospice, home health and doctors offices. I am very passionate about taking care of others. I love doing it, it makes me happy to know that I am providing care for someone in need.

I become a caregiver from the natural nature of my personality. Since the young ago of 16 I started my experience with Nursing Home settings, along with this career choice at such a young age I cared for my grandmother that was diagnosed with Alzheimers and cancer. My son was born with disability that was around the clock care for a young mother. Being a nurturing person I crave to care for those whom are not able to do so for themselves. I cared for my ailing father who was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, my father passed 2 yrs ago and I have stuggled with the loss, yet I feel I have a heart big enough to care for others. I took an opportunity in caring for a elderly couple living in their home till her passing. One of the best experiences I had chosen to do. I went to Medical Assisting program where I excelled and was voted most successful. Knowing I have this to offer it's finding a family that we click and giving loved ones the security knowing their loved one is taken very well cared for.
