Some of my personality traits as a caregiver are empathize, to be patient and flexible, putting the needs of my patient first and to be able to take charge when necessary. I have been a caregiver for over 30 years. I began as a teenager in nursing homes but found in home care when I was a personal trainer. I was training a client in her home and it was then that I decided I wanted to spend more time helping the elderly remain in their homes. I am very easy going but I'm a a great worker. I do my best to help each individual maintain their dignity and respect while maintaining as much independence as possible. I enjoy the fact that people are comfortable with me at a time when someone must come into their environment which has been sacred to them for so long. It's not easy but I think I make it a bit easier.

What attracted the most to look into this field and to sign me up for CNA school was for my grandparents that I was very close to and who raised me so I did it for them! Because unfortunately, my grandmother was in a nursing home and she was very neglected to the point. Some thing happened to her and she passed away so she gave me my motivation to be where I'm at today. I'm a very compassionate person very honest the most outright patience I have for people is incredible always in a positive mood And I've always wanted to take care of others who don't have others to take care of them. That's why I became a CNA and a caregiver because I give my 100%. I'm a very thorough worker. I'm very organized I have a routine and I get along with everybody, but if I have a tough client who is behavioral that intrigues me more to stay in the field that I am in only because I know how to approach those clients in the correct manner. My personal traits are attachment to the people I care for because not only do I care for them but at the end of the day, somehow they turn family to me in my eyes. I'm a very experienced worker. I've been doing this for six years. I have dealt with all different kinds of patients, so no need to worry. And I'm also very knowledgeable to medical terminologies.
