I love the field I feel great at the end of the day when I do and care for someone. I dicided ended that this is what I wanted to do. Making people happy and comfortable. When I have done my job not only it is my job it's my passion. I'm a mother of two girls born and raised in Lawrence my parents are originally from the domincan republic they came to the state in the 60s. I've been a certified nurses aide for 15 years. I have been in healthcare for 11 years. I love helping people and I enjoy caring for people. I love everything about being a caregiver. I love the residents/clients. Their personalities, their conversations, and you can actually learn a lot just from helping others. I'm proud I took the next step and completed my CNA classes. I. Just haven't taken the state test yet.

Ever since freshman year in high school, I have always wanted to do something that related to the medical field. First it was orthopedics and then pharmacy. I did not know that my mind would change to care giver until my junior year. I took a health science technology class starting my junior year. It was a two year class. Junior year was more focused on anatomy and physiology and Senior year we got to decide which path we wanted to go down. I chose the LNA path. I have always wanted to help people and going towards this path seemed like a sure-fire way to get there. I loved doing my clinicals at the two nursing homes near my school. It was an amazing experience. Knowing that I can help someone get through their day a little easier meant the world to me. Almost six years after graduating high school, I am still doing what I love and taking care of the people that need it the most.
