I have been taking care of others for over 20 years. From infants to teens to the elderly. I have always been a "mother" figure, even as a child. Taking care of others just came so naturally to me. They have each given me the knowledge and opportunity in their own way to learn that it takes love, patience, discipline, empathy but most of all consistency to be a Caregiver. To raise a child or guide and show a teen that you're not giving up on them. Or to prove to a golden years patient that they can trust you with their care. I guess what attracted me to this line of work was simple. I am a very warm, empathetic person so again it just seems natural to take care of others. I am not the type to step over a person in need, I am the type to lift them up. A personal achievement that I am extremely proud of is my son. My 3 year old baby boy Jaxson. He is quite literally the best thing I have ever done in my entire life and I am in awe of him & so very grateful to be his Mother. He, is what this is all for. Thank you.

I am a very hard working, caring and reliable person. I love being able to help individuals in need and being able to properly care for my clients . I enjoy being being around people and being able to connect and help people that is the reason why I chose this field because it's perfect for me. I gain a sense of fulfillment with each client that I'm able to care for an being able to put a smile on there face makes me feel amazing.

I became a Caregiver because I needed the certification for another job that I thought I would be well suited for. I thought I would fair out well as a Lab Tech for one of the local mental hospitals. Not long after I'd graduated from the CNA program and had begun working as a Lab Tech in the hospital clinic, I discovered the hospital was due to close in less than a year ; there were no openings at any of the sister branches. I took a job with a visiting nurse agency as a Phlebotomist / CNA. Although they had more CNA work than Phlebotomy, I needed a job and lacked experience. The job also offered a year long course in disease management coaching and had good benefits. As time passed, I began to work in other areas of caregiving to see what my specialty might be and decided I liked working with seniors; they seemed to have tons of life experience and didn't mind sharing it ( I often found myself wondering if should've been paying them for all they taught me - important things about life I never even thought of !), They seemed to really appreciate anything I did for them. I find the intrinsic value of serving the elders rewarding. Since discovering what my passion is, I've done nothing else.

I also excel at planning creative activities customizedto resident needs and physical mental abilities. Examples include pet visits from a nearby arimal shelter, game nights, outdoor concerts, book clubs ,card toumaments, art classes, spa days and makeover sessions. It can be challenging at times, but I truly enjoy working with elderly residents. Though I strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the residents, the ongoinglessons I haveleamed fromthemhavein retum made a lasting impactin my life. I'm also Spanish speaking.

Most of my clients will say I am a good lister, I go above and beyond to see my clients are having a good day, mostly time my friends think I respect time ....that I will say yes because if a person doesn't respect time then they are just wasting my time .
