Hi I am Heidi I am an upbeat caring person whom has provided caregiving for 8 years and love every moment ! Not just professionally but also personally for friends and family. Caregiving is my passion and I enjoy helping anyone accomplish there day in a day out goals whether it's cooking ,companionship or even just shopping. my personal achievement is helping as many people as I can as I have strived to do so for years and will continue to do so.

I have been a caregiver for 15yrs. I started off caring for my parents as they aged and then went on to work for an agency for a few years before I decided that I wanted to go on my own. I enjoy getting to know the clients and their families. I have several certifications in elderly care and am vaccinated as well.

I believe my most useful qualities in this role are patience and kindness and humor to enjoy the company of both people. Caring for my grandpa inspired me to become a caregiver. I cared for him for 2 years, and through that experience, I learned that I'm passionate about helping people and improving the daily lives of those in need of care. Supporting my grandpa taught me skills like patience, compassion and problem-solving. I learned how to address issues quickly and effectively to ensure my grandpa was healthy and safe. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others I also like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better

I am a retired Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience taking care of elderly patients in the nursing home and hospital setting. I became a nurse because when I was young, my grandmother was very ill. I helped her with cooking, cleaning and activities of daily living; including shopping. I enjoyed helping and being depended upon. She always said I would make a great nurse and I believed her. I am a great caregiver because I love what I do and am passionate about quality of life for all. I have a sister with Down's syndrome and I helped take care of her and teach her many life skills. My parents are elderly now and I live out of state, but I keep very abreast of their care and daily living through daily phone calls and follow-up calls to doctors and social workers, etc. I have always taken care of my family, I became a nurse at 33 years old; when my last child went to school. I am very proud of that. I recently, in 2008, sustained a concussion which lead into post-concussive syndrome. I have come a very long way from where I was then, and even though, I cannot return to nursing as a career, my passion for taking care of the senior population has not waned one bit. It was my life's dream and I want to still be able to make a difference in people's lives.

I am an experienced PCA.I have been a PCA since 2007. I have worked in both homecare settings and in facilities. I am very flexible as far as schedule needs and the needs of the client. I also have many years of Alzheimer's care experience. I am currently attending school to become an LPN.

I became a caregiver because if my family or myself were in need of care, I would want someone like me to take care of them. I like being a caregiver because I like the professional relationships that are built and I like to encourage people to be as independent as they possibly can. A personal achievement I am proud of is running a house of 13 disabled individuals at 19 years old, as well as founding a dance program for disabled children as well.
