I'm a natural leader. I've eventually been promoted to a leadership role in almost every job because I like to help people. I find coworkers usually come to me with questions or concerns even when I'm not in a leadership role because if I don't know the answer, I'll at least point them in the right direction. I am a certified EMT. I have worked in roles of customer service since I was 16 and find that is where I thrive. In such roles in which I am able to help provide assistance or a service to another individual on a daily basis.

I have been a home health aid for 10+ years. Knowing that i can help others in their time of need is a reward in itself. I graduated from McCann with an associates degree in Medical Assisting.

I became a caregiver because it gives me a sense of pride. I love the idea that I am able to make a differnece in somebodys life doing the simplest of things. My greatest achievement is getting my CNA. I wouldnt change my career for the world.

My oldest sister was a can and she thought I would be good at it so I decided to give it a try in 1990 and have been doing it ever since. I love helping others. I took a 3 month course while working at riverwoods and became a gcna. I have been a can since 1990 I took gcna classes at riverewoods that specializes you in geriatric care I am very devoted and dependable.

I want to be a care giver because I just spent the past six months taking care of my father who has since passed on, I enjoyed spending time with him even though in the end he really didn't remember that I was his daughter anymore. I love helping others, in a way I think it helps to fill a void in ones life. I think that Geriatrics is my specialty I enjoy it because the clients have so much wisdom to share. I like to think I will help to improve their quality of life and ease some suffering. An employer should hire me because I know you need staff who can show true compassion, who are good with elder clients and who will make sure that the client has all that they need before my shift ends and things are left tidy. I really enjoy working with all different types of people, and helping them stay as independent as they can be. It’s really important to me to be polite and friendly, when I worked in the retail field I tried to get every customer to smile before they left my store! It has been a while since I had to take care of another person be sides myself, my youngest child is 27 years old , but I don’t think you lose the passion to please the others and make sure they always get the care they need– I haven’t.

I have been working with people for nearly 30 years now, I was a CNA for 17 years and loved working with the clients but I don't like the way nursing homes are run, I have been working in home care for a little over 10 years and I like it much better, I have worked with people who have mental health issues, are bed bound,need hoyer lifts, have speech troubles, etc as well and I am good with my job and care for those I work with and treat them as if they are my own family like I would like to be one day

Hello! I've been doing this since myy oldest was born, 13 years ago! I love learning anout another generation of life-the atories and things I've learned are amazing! I became a caregiver after we hired a hospice company for my grandmother, watching that lady give ao selfishly while my grandmother was passing was the reason I chose to become a care taker and chose to further my medical knowledge within the field. Since joining the field, I have taken the state teat as a direct worker, completed my schooling for a medical assistant and phlebotomy and continue to complete continuing educarions each year.
