I have known since I was a child that becoming a caregiver was important to me, as I got older I knew it was a part of me! To be able to help just one person maintain quality of living or exceed they're expectations of they're quality of life is both what Ive strived for and put my heart into from the beginning of my career . My mother and father both were CNA's and worked in nursing facilities until they retired, 3 of my aunts and 2 of my uncles also were caregivers, Caregiving has always been my passion. I have been in the healthcare system for 20+ years working as a CNA & Personal home health Aid. I started as a CNA working in nursing/facility)when I was 16 years old. Then I started working in their homes one on one, I'm very passionate about being a caregiver it is an important part of who I am as an individual! I feel every person has their own individual needs, I have enjoyed working with each and in their own homes to meet their own personal needs. I've enjoyed this so well that I've not went back to working in a facility based environment since, being a caregiver is a part of me and who I am.

I worked for the nursing home in Dunlap Tn. for about 6 years. I loved my job but I couldn't deal with watching the way some of the aides treated them. I've worked for two different agencies but one has closed. I love what I do, caring for people and helping them to have a chance to remain at home. I'm very happy when I'm able to help someone. This is the I choose to be in for the simple reason that I love my time learning about other people. I want to be the person that could help make their lives easier.
